Open Election System

There are two reasons why I joined OWNDAYS. The first is the opportunity for better career advancement – the Open Election System where everyone has a chance to move forward as long as you raise your hand to it. The second is that all staff are equal and the management recognises and appreciates the hard work of the staff.

Motivate staff to grow together

A manager not only needs to ensure smooth shop operations but also be sensitive to the feelings of the staff. These two factors are important in creating a better working environment. With these, the staff can then perform well and have the motivation to do the best for the company.

I value teamwork, recognition and encouragement at work. These keep the staff motivated and push them to strive for the better. My goal is to create a better working environment for my colleagues and to provide constant guidance for them to grow. I would always encourage them and help them understand their job scope better. This in turn helps us to smoothen the shop operations. The way I communicate with my colleagues is to listen, encourage and never criticise. This is what I’ve been doing as a manager.

My motto is to be humble, to respect and to show understanding to others. I feel that these three criteria would lead me to greater career success.

I joined the OWNDAYS Eye Camp in 2016 and I had learnt a lot during the event. I have come to realise that life is not just about work. It is very meaningful to join volunteering work and to give back to the community. I hope to participate in the Eye Camp again.

My aspiration is to help OWNDAYS become the No.1 optical company in the world and I’ll do my best to contribute to the growth of the company.
