Currently I am an optometrist and a shop manager in OWNDAYS. I think to be an optometrist, we must have the passion, the patience and be attentive. Most importantly, we should be understanding. We need to understand what customers need and what issues they have about their eyesight. Only then can we solve their problems. The hardest thing as an optometrist is, in my opinion, communicating with customers. Good and effective communication enables us to find out what customers need and this in turn allows us to provide the best service to them.

Working in OWNDAYS is very motivating and exciting. This is because of the positive working environment we have in the company. Also, the colleagues are all very helpful and there is good teamwork among us. We help each other out, encourage each other to do better and work together as a team to achieve daily and monthly targets. It feels good and is very rewarding when we can achieve our goals together.

I wish to take on a higher position in the future, for example the area manager position. I am also keen to try working in OWNDAYS outlets overseas.
