I’m currently working as an optometrist in OWNDAYS. Basically, I help to prescribe glasses and contact lenses. OWNDAYS is a well-known optical shop and there is a high customer flow every day. This gives me the opportunity to interact with many people. I feel a great sense of satisfaction whenever customers tell me that we are very efficient and that their vision is very clear and comfortable after putting on our glasses.

As an optometrist, I wish to help as many people as possible to resolve their eyewear needs, especially those facing vision problems such as short-sightedness and long-sightedness. For contact lens users, I would also like to share with them my knowledge on the proper use and care of contact lenses.

One difficulty I had was actually time management. Due to OWNDAYS’ fast processing service, we have to keep track of time regularly in order to deliver our promise to customers. The good thing is that I managed to overcome this eventually because practise makes perfect.

OWNDAYS is like a second family to me. It’s not only because I spend most of my time in OWNDAYS, it’s also because I have colleagues who are like my family members. They are constantly guiding me and caring about my well-being. Besides, it feels great when our effort is recognised and complimented by the management.
